User Reviews about Kirby's Dream Land

Kirby's Dreamland is a fun game you can sit down and play for 20 or 30 minutes until you beat it! It's short, even for a Gameboy game, but it's very fun! This is Kirby's first game ever, and not being able to copy abilities makes this game slightly more challenging, but still easy and for beginners. Kirby's Dreamland also has arguably the best graphics and sound on Gameboy, like Kirby's Adventure did on the NES (if you look closely, Kirby's Dreamland looks like a colorless Kirby's Adventure). This is a great game taking into consideration its age and system.

Presentation- 79/100
A simple Gameboy presentation.

Graphics- 97/100
Amazing for black and white! Superb!

Sound- 98/100
Catchy and memorable, a true Kirby sound.

Gameplay- 86/100
Classic Kirby, just without copying abilities.

Innovation- 94/100
A humble platformer, the first of it's series. Sounds innovative to me.

Replay Value- 64/100
Just don't expect to sit around for hours to play this. If you get bored and want to kill time for a few minutes, or play a short video game while someone else is driving in the car, this game is a perfect idea!

Overall- 84/100
A nice game I reccomend owning. -- Kirby can't copy abilities in this one, but it's still fun!
this is a fun game for kirby novices. Allow me to explain. What makes this game easier than the others is that kirby has no abilities, which makes it less confusing than the other games. And I know what you're thinking, "what!? no abilities?! that stinks!", but, however, it's just as much fun without abilities as with. And if you think it's too easy you should try hard mode which will keep anyone busy for an hour or two. in conclusion this is a great game for people new to video games. -- kirby's first game ever!
i really enjoyed this game as a 50 year old mom who got introduced to it by her then 11 year old son it's super fun as much as i find pokemon which i now collect the games and stuffed animals! wished kirby had the same too! janet lyman -- yipee!!!!!!!! for a 50 year old who's loving kirby as much as pokemon!
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my sister. I played it, and it worked perfectly. I received the package quickly, too.

I enjoyed the game as a kid and enjoyed it when I tested the game out but it wasn't a game that I could, as an adult, play for a long period of time. -- Nostalgic fun, maybe.
Kirby's first ever game is a decent one. It's a 2D sidescroller, five levels in length. It was designed to be easy so anyone could finish it. Entering a special button code will unlock Extra Mode, which is much more difficult.

Kirby can't copy the abilities of his enemies in this game. Also note that the "Spring Breeze" subgame in Kirby Super Star (SNES) is a touched-up but shorter version of this game, so if you have either Super Star or the DS remake of Super Star, owning this game is a bit redundant. -- A brief and cute platformer.
